Nose Eating

Henry goes wild on Auntie Julie' nose. Either he is teething already or has developed a taste for human flesh.

Post Tub Fuzz

We thought that his hair was finally long enough to lay down flat, but we realized it had just gotten greasy from all the petting he receives. After his last tubby we learned that he still rocks the hawk!

Oscillating Fan Face

Henry will often look back and forth quite quickly.
His Dad says he's like an oscillating fan.

Singleton

Where do all the missing socks go?? Is there a family of Mix Matched Sock wearing Monsters that lives in an endless void somewhere between the laundry basket and the laundry room stealing single socks of all sizes?

Sure, grown adult socks are small compared to the rest of the items in a grown adult load of laundry, but how the heck is one supposed to expect that an infant's teeny tiny sock is not going to disappear in the great mysterious single sock void?

Amazingly, we have found all of Henry's lost socks (so far). We should win a prize! When I see a Singleton I get sad because it's so cute and now so lonely without its mate. I do not discard the Singleton in hopes of the return of its mate. Or if the mate remains MIA, there is sure to be another Singleton down the road that we can mix match it with so as not to be left with cold feet and also to match the monster in the single sock void who wears mix match socks.

Singleton found!
I retrace the path to and from the washer and drier where it was last seen. Sometimes I'm lucky to find the Singleton has decided to take a leap from the basket and is left alone on the stairs. Other times, it has never made it into the drier and is found plastered to the inside of the washer. The last Singleton scare we had did not last but a day and when Dad got dressed for work, he had the MIA Singleton hiding in his shirt!!

Singletons Reunite!

The Great Diaper Race

I often feel like it is a race against nature to get Henry's clean diaper on before he decides to relieve himself in the fresh open air...and all over me, him, his clothes, the clean diaper and the changing riser.

It's hard to say my status on this great race...I'd say some days I can never win but don't want to include a photo of the loss, you can use your imagination.

Here's a picture of success!!

Tag Team Vaccines

On November 2nd, Henry received his first series of vaccines. He seemed pretty relaxed in the beginning...

Then the two nurses came in, one with one needle and the other with two needles!

I unbuttoned his very cute autumn outfit to expose his meaty thighs and they quickly (before I could capture a photo, plus I was consoling him and didn't want to look either!!) stabbed him and injected the vaccinations into his little legs.

There was a bit of a delayed reaction and for that brief second I thought, what a champion of a boy, he's not even going to...and then he did it, he let out with a heart wrenching cry! My voice, my touch, my wanting to cry with him did nothing. Not even the crayola band-aides made him feel better!

I picked him up and still screaming, the nurses suggest I sit and nurse him to soothe him. And low and behold, it worked! Phew!!

New Movements

Henry has been becoming aware of his animal friends that hang above his bed/changing riser. He finds enjoyment batting them around and cooing at them.
